Classes

We are delighted to be able to offer a diverse range of classes to suit all levels of fitness. For further information on any class, please call 01935 810548. (All activities may be subject to change for School use at any time. Sherborne Sports Centre has the right to change or discontinue classes at any time by giving two weeks prior notice. All classes are on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of 16 in any one class (12 for aerobiking).

ZUMBA!

Zumba® is a dance exercise routine that involves fabulous Latin American music. It’s fun, it’s funky and it’s fast becoming one of the most popular ways to get fit in the UK.
Monday 12:15-1:15pm with Mandy £4.00 per class, pay as you go.

Thursday 8:00-9:00pm with Simmone. £4.00 per class, pay as you go.  Book 10 classes in advance for £35.00 

ZUMBA GOLD®
Tuesdays 10:00-11:00 and 11:00-12:00 The Zumba Gold program targets the largest growing segment of the population: baby boomers. It takes the Zumba® formula and modifies the moves and pacing to suit the needs of the active older participant, as well as those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. What stays the same are all the elements the Zumba® is known for: the zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton; the exhilarating, easy-to-follow moves; and the invigorating, party-like atmosphere. Active older adults want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule. The Zumba Gold class is the perfect fit. It’s a dance-fitness class that feels friendly, and most of all, fun.

Aerobiking ClassAerobiking

Aerobiking is a spinning style class suitable for any age or fitness level. Aerobiking uses stationary bikes with a fixed fly wheel in an Instructor led programme. Click here for more about the benefits of aerobiking.  Aerobiking classes are all 45 minutes.  £5.00 per class – FREE to Platinum Plus members.

Boxercise

This weekly class has become very popular with all age groups and abilities. It incorporates both an aerobic and anerobic workout and is ideal for all over body conditioning and fitness. 

LBT and Pump and Tone

Both of these classes are ideal for those wanting a hard fast work out. Additional hand weights, body bars and resistance equipment is used to work and strengthen those all important areas.

Pilates

We have ‘Pilates Institute’ qualified instructors at the centre ready to teach beginners and improvers alike. Classes are usually in the mornings and the evenings through out the week.

Aqua Fit

We also have three STA/Water Fitness Aqua instructors in house. The classes are normally in the mornings but for full details please call the reception.

Swimming Lessons

We also have three STA qualified swim teachers in house. The swimming lessons are run on a termly basis, and are for children from 2-16 years and adult who are either learning to swim or are just wishing to improve their general technique.

Other Classes

Other classes include Conditioning Circuits (an all over controlled workout), Stretch and Flex (a unique class incorporating elements of Tai-Chi, Yoga and Pilates). We are constantly trying to bring in new classes, so please give us a call on 01935 810548 or download our latest activities list for more information.

Note that we run seasonal activities as well as year round activities, especially for children during holiday periods.
