Team Training

Sherborne Sports Centre’s qualified and experienced team can offer sport-specific training for your club.  Whether it’s general fitness, building stamina or working on strength.

This summer we provided specific training sessions for Sherborne Rugby Football Club.  This included various forms of training:- 

Aerobiking – A super calorie burner that challenges your muscles and stimulates the growth of lean muscle. 

Boxercise  – Good for hand eye co-ordination, stamina, strength and speed.

Aqua – Improves balance, posture and flexibility and reduces stress on joints (as exercise in water is non weight bearing)

Gym sessions – Benefits include increased strength and stamina, lean body mass and enhanced muscle balance.

Sports specific conditioning – Designed to improve fitness and coordination, by using speed and strength training techniques, for example ‘Fartlek’ and interval training
 
All the sessions were very well attended and Mike Trew, the Chairman said in the 10 years he had been with the club, this had been the best pre-season training they had ever done. He was extremely pleased at the content of each session and complimented the centre on its professional and knowledgeable instructors.  They’ve already signed up for winter training.   SRFC website
